Accelerometer

To sense vibration, an accelerometer was used. The LIS3DH was selected because of it's part of a "nano" series meaning it is very small and light weight, making it idea for mournting to the tip of a ski. The least amount of ineria will better the results. The LIS3DH also has multiple g sensing and data rate selections.

The LIS3DH is mounted to the tip of the ski to measure the oscillation frequency.  A "clip" mount was designed to have the LIS3DH set into it and be able to quickly and easily slide on and off of skis for quick test of multiple skis. The design was created on solidworks and 3D printed using abs plastic.
