Motor

To achieve the damping coefficient of a ski, it first needs to vibrate. A force will be applied to the tip of the ski. A DC rotational motor turns a cam positioned under the tip of the ski, forcing upward, then releasing it to initiate a vibration.

The motor being used is a Denso 730557-7030 12V DC motor. To control the motor, a MD10C motor controller connected to the microcontroller is being used. The microcontroller tells the motor controller when to send current to the motors. Also, using pulse width modulation from the  microcontroller, the speed of the motor can be contolled.
